Artist Statement:

After many years creating in a variety of mediums, including interior design, ceramics and mosaics, I discovered my artistic voice most passionately through the endlessly intriguing variances achievable through working with glass. There is a unique energy between the creative context and the diverse technologies of working with glass. The ability to deconstruct a flat piece of glass and reconstruct it in a totally new concept is what makes glass fusion so alluring.

I incorporate opaque, transparent and translucent glass, manipulating them in numerous ways inviting a play of light exclusive to each creation. My style is diverse, reflecting my myriad sources of inspiration which comes from the gold hills of Jerusalem, my home for many years, where Chagall’s twentieth-century windows stand in sharp contrast with centuries-old Armenian mosaics, to the great Desert Southwest, where russet mountains surrond my home today. Throughout my art, I depict the drama of life. Glass is a reflection of life. Although most aspects of life can be controlled there is always the element of surprise - as is true in working with glass. My artwork is an exploration of relationship and conflicts through colors, shapes and prisms of light. My creations are varied - including wall art, sculpture, Judaic and decorative accessories.

Product:

All products are designed and handicrafted soley by the artist. Each piece is a "one-of-a-kind" creation of fused glass with possible additions of stone and metal castings. Various techniques of design and glass manipulation are incorporated into each design. The interplay of vibrant color and light emanates warm energy to enhance your home. Many of my creations are of Jewish ritual and symbolism making them memorable gifts for special occasions.
